Sometimes the thing that helps you move forward isn’t a perfect routine, a life-changing quote, or a full-blown mindset reset. Sometimes… it’s a unicorn poster.
One of my clients was feeling stuck and unmotivated. She wanted something to help her feel more positive, but everything felt like too much. You know when even the “easy” stuff feels overwhelming?
So instead of forcing a big change, we just talked. And through that conversation, we landed on something small: putting up affirmations. A visual reminder she could see every day without thinking too hard about it.
Later, when I followed up with her, she told me she ended up putting up a cute little unicorn poster covered in affirmations — not even on her wall, but her partner’s. It made her smile, but what surprised her most was that he started loving it too. He told her it helped calm him down during moments of anxiety, even panic attacks.
Now it’s something sweet and grounding for both of them.
Something small. But meaningful.
I think sometimes we overlook how much these little things can shift our energy. We feel like we have to fix everything at once, or we convince ourselves that if it’s not a big change, it’s not worth doing. But honestly? The small stuff is often what actually keeps us going.
So if you’ve been feeling off or like you’re waiting for motivation to magically appear — maybe start with something tiny. A sticky note. A background change. A reminder on your phone. A unicorn poster. Whatever feels good and a little you.
You never know who else it might help too.
